By incorporating some of these tips into your daily life, I promise you will notice a difference!
1)I think it’s safe to say that most of us roll out of bed and head straight to the coffee pot to start off our day. Try mixing up your daily routine by starting your day off by drinking 16 oz of water with the juice of ½ a lemon. The first 8 oz are to wake up your digestion, and the second 8 oz will reach each organ. Lemon’s alkalizing effects flushes excess acid from the stomach into the large intestine to create a healthy pH balance for your day. 2) The single best way to improve your health is to decrease the amount of sugar you consume every day. However, this means more then looking at how much sugar you put in your coffee each morning. Remember that simple carbs such as white breads, white rice, potatos, pasta etc act like sugar once digested. Complex carbs such as brown rice, quinoa pasta legumes and sprouted whole wheat breads are a huge upgrade in your diet when it comes decreasing your ‘sugar’ intake.
3) Need an afternoon pick me up? Try a piece of fruit with some almond butter. The fructose in the fruit is great brain food and the almond butter will allow the fruit to digest slower which will stablize your blood sugar.
4) It’s all about pH! One of the best ways to alkalize your body is to just simply breathe! The typical person only uses about 20 percent of the lungs. Try taking a few minutes each day to practice some deep breathing exercises expanding deep into the lungs. Not only will you feel more energy, but this will help with blood circulation and decreased anxiety.
