How to design your superfood pantry for superfood smoothies.
You are what you eat! We have all heard that before but is it something that you really apply to your daily life? So many of my clients come to me and say they are eating ‘healthy’ and when we really look carefully at their diet I find that ‘healthy’ usually means a whole lot of processed foods, snacks, and quick and easy go-to meals that actually aren’t all that healthy.
I’m all about making healthy EASY, FUN, and MANAGEABLE. Lets be honest, eating healthy is like swimming upstream in this country. Without careful pre-planning and meal preparation it’s almost impossible to find something quick and on the run that is healthy.
One rule I live by is to always have a ‘superfood’ pantry stocked that I can easily add to my favorite smoothie recipes. Smoothies take less than 5 minutes to make and if you can pack them with the appropriate nutrition then it’s a super smart breakfast idea, pre-post workout food, or on-the-go snack.
Here are the ingredients that you will always find in my superfood pantry! If you have a local Costco, be sure to check there first as they carry some of these products listed below! Make sure you are getting good quality and always organic.
